A little Christmas gift for all you electroheads out there - my new track is called "Synthesizer Planet" and is a song about a cold, icy, distant planet, with lots of synthesizers, in a faraway solar system. All analogue of course! (And they haven't invented software synths yet.) My new track is called "Magnetic dance" and is based on a sample from an old italo disco song with the same title. Its drum sounds are to some extent inspired by Italian disco music between 1982 and 1984, but there the similarities with that genre end. The sci-fi strings are more along the lines of Detroit techno (á la Derrick May) and the overall feeling of the track has much in common with today's electro. It's a repetitive, slowly building track, loop-based rather than melody-based - not like anything I've done before.
