month @ SONOTHEQUE. In keeping with the penchant for showcasing a diverse

As a mainstay of T. Raumschmiere's SHITKATAPULT juggernaut with releases &
remixes on Kit Clayton's CYTRAX and the Kompakt affiliated ONITOR, Carsten
Aermes a.k.a. PHON.O's work has received rave press reviews and been
playlisted by some of electronic music's most innovative selectors (MICHAEL
MAYER-IMMER). His hi-caliber musical pedigree doesn't even begin to describe
the aural intensity of his live performance where he manages to harness
whatever stately ideals he can recall and delivers a staunchly digital and
itchy, yet deeply moving set.

as Barcelona's SONAR and Berlin's LOVE PARADE, we are excited to play the
Chicago host on this, Phon.o's North American debut tour. As this will be a

IRIS SOUNDSYSTEM - LIVE/FX ENHANCED DJ SET

Be prepared as the duo of DJ Joseph & Eric H, Chicago's top 2 step/UK garage
production team, bring their dancehall-style live/DJ performance to FUNK the
MENTAL: mashing-up 2 step, brokenbeat and dub in a tag-team DJ set, with a
storm of dubwise FX and laptop full of samples. Their studio work has
garnered rave reviews (in both URB & XLR8R magazines for their 2002 12"
release "Upstate/The Task"), infusing London-town sounds with strains of
Detroit synths, Moodyman deep grooves and an extra heavy dose of dub. Recent
days have seen Iris remixes for San Fransisco's Voltage Records and the UK's
Inspirit Music, as well as a forthcoming single on Hotflush Records UK.
