I think that one of the reasons I like that 09 album
is it's use of wierd high frequency fuzzy kinda
overdriven sounds in an interesting manner. It seems
to be the new Schematic sound the last few releases,
and it works on this album. Plus a few of those tracks
have interesting melodic things going on. So Schematic
is taking the alternate route as usual, some of this
stuff is mastered way high and like all the highs are
distorted, kinda like the opposite frequency of jungle
or drum and bass type bass. But those guys know way
too much about sound engineering for it to be a
mistake. It doesn't really work for that Kiyo album,
but on this it's pretty neat sounding in parts. I hope
that the lows are accentuated on the new Secret
Frequency Crew though, cause man the idea of high
tinny fuzzy electro just kinda freaks me out.
