I just noticed that bleep.com has Skam releases now, although I suppose it's already been mentioned here and I just missed it. Unfortunately, they only have more recent Skam releases. I was hoping it'd be the entire back catalog, but I guess even Skam doesn't have some of their earlier releases. Too bad for me, I would have bought MP3s of the stuff they don't have. What they do have available, I already either have the CD or I'm not interested. I hope when Bleep eventually gets Merck releases that they have all the older vinyl releases (that haven't subsequently become available on CD). But considering the precedents of what they have for Warp and Skam, I guess they won't. -AdamP. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Skam is supposed to be re-releasing Legofeet on CD later this year, though, right? You'd think if they still had a copy of that, they'd have stuff like Freeform's "Free" EP, and Jega's first one for them. Too bad Freeform can't hawl the "Free" EP on his own website. If I remember correctly, in a Warp e-mail that was sent out a few weeks ago they seemed to indicate that the entire Skam catalogue would be released on Bleep.com. Then again, I may not be remembering correctly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Glad it wasn't just my imagination. Wonder if the MASK releases will see the light of day on Bleep or CD. i0 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

From what I read in the Bleep FAQ, The delay in releasing some older material has to do with mastering. Mastering a track for vinyl is very different than the levels needed for digital media. The faq mentioned that, as these track are remastered, they will be posted. So, this would explain where the heck the We Are Y We Are 12 inch is missing... jpb >From: Alan Lucas <alucas@gmail.com> >To: Adam Piontek <adam@damek.org> >CC: idm@hyperreal.org >Subject: Re: [idm] bleep has skam, or has it been mentioned? >Date: Mon, 21 Jun 2004 11:37:07 -0400 > >Skam is supposed to be re-releasing Legofeet on CD later this year, >though, right? This is from the latest Warp Info email: Skam Records are now live at <http://www.bleep.com/skam> www.bleep.com/skam - Gescom, Boards of Canada, Bola, Freeform and many more now available. Spotters will notice that the vinyl-only early Skam 12"s and KMAS's are absent, Skam will start to add these one by one, going all the way back to Legofeet :) So keep checking back. The Skam News page has had details of this for months actually. So all that's required is a little patience it would seem :) I want those older Bola releases. )Jq.
