(possibly your mom)
Irwin is known for melding the spontaneity of jazz,
the power of rock, and a pulse like hip hop on
steroids, though rarely sounding retro. He has worked
with a rare mix of artists such as John Cale, the
Beastie boys, and
Deepak Chopra. His performances have merited four
return tours to Europe and praise from the most
critical music and art aficionados. All beats are
performed live; other sounds are generated from
modules or computer and composed on the spot.
Visuals by Berkoy: real-time manipulation of original
footage, unique video environments and simulations
responding live to Irwin's music. Mathhead (Six
Records, Consumers R&D) Melodic breaks and glitch,
raved up breakcore, straight up grime. Record Camp
