The Deadbeat, 'Something Borrowed, Something Blue', was the Album of the Year two weeks ago. I'll have to give the Einoma a listen: a candidate is needed for next week. ;) seek np: The Orb - 'Bicycles and Tricycles' (A.o.t.Y., the week of April 1st.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

the Deadbeat is very mellow...still not album of the year, but ok. the Einoma bits i've heard seems more like a rip-off of Ae, than anything real special. np: Speicher 14>>>A1. the Orb-"MasterBlaster(F.A.D. i listened to einoma again last night after i posted the original recommend, but this time for the first time all the way through in one sitting, and on my home system rather than my cars. i still think there are definate parallels with some of autechres work, but theres also elements of industrial and even on one track goth female vocal (but wordless) musings. but think autechre gone mildly industrial. thats my second take... -thad ----- Original Message ----- From: "seeklektek" <eclectics@comcast.net> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 11:05 AM Subject: Re: [idm] deadbeat and einoma

i still think there are definate parallels with some of autechres work, but theres also elements of industrial and even on one track goth female vocal (but wordless) musings "lidur og laedist" is this track; least favorite. on a second listen tho this thing is not terrible; still not AotY material. np: Einoma-"Ur Afongum" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
