if you go to
http://www.defocusrecords.co.uk you will notice that the
site is being transferred to somewhere else, for certain things to be
done. deFocus is defunct. deFocus backstock exists.

deFocus didnt 'go bankrupt' per se, but to go into details would be to
spill a lot of information that doesnt require to be bickered about on
this forum. there's a long story to be told, one which will hopefully
never have to be repeated ever again (i've gone thru explaining my views
on what happened with defocus, based on what i've been told by other
artists, based on what the person who financed defocus (and let clair
run it) told me, and what clair did, or didnt say).
so, in the end, we've got ar ecordlabel that released a bunch of
records, some ok, some decent, and a person (not clair) who is stuck
with all of the unsold backstock (and believe you me, there is a lot of
that backstock around in his home), without any distributors or shops
getting in touch with him about purchasing bits of the backstock.
the defocus records are still available via
http://www.smallfish.co.uk ,
but IF there would be an actual shop or a distributor that would be
interested in taking multiple copies of the releases and making them
available (in say ireland, or usa, or germany/belgium area), AND paying
in advance (NONE OF THAT SCAMMING BUSINESS, you KNOW who you are), it
would be beneficial if they got in touch with the people that run
smallfish.
