difference of taste i guess. i bought 'duplex' first, and for me the vocals were welcome and impressive (less impressive once i realized they were not sung by sascha himself). they reminded me of the guest vocals on DNTEL, but better. a bit of an "indie" vibe warming up the electronics. for some reason the 'multifunktionsebene' clips didn't excite me when i heard them at the shitkatapult site, but i'll have to check them out again. d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I was intrigued by The Italian Job soundtrack and noticed that Photek did some of the "production" (I have no idea what amount or breadth). Is anyone doing good soundtracks, the sort that one might mention in the same conversation as a John Barry? Oh, and has anyone recently done anything like Grantby's retouch of John Barry's Bond stuff? Thanks - David --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Get better spam protection with Yahoo! I don't have any recommendations for your actual question, but I do know that Photek did most of the score for The Italian Job, which likely means pretty much all of the incidental, non-licensed music is his. Here's an interview he did about it, as well as other stuff he's up to and how much he loves Kontakt (tm) http://www.nativeinstruments.de/page.php?l_src=kontakt_us&tsr_id=16301&id=photek_us -- eggytoast.com -- eggtastic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
