Good call on the first, Irene. On the second, well... umm... slim didn't actually say anything about being interested in the sound of the music as such. Hi Slim, I'm curious about Excepter myself -- saw the record at Aquarius (in SF) over the weekend. I was wondering if it was metal, because it seemed to be filed in the metal section, plus the name sounds like a riff on "Acceptor." But the sleeve looked more electronix-oriented.... Have you heard it/them? As for the gender question, you might begin with www.pinknoises.com -- not a bad place to start researching. There's always a dearth of women making music and getting recognized for it in the electronic scene, just like, well, everywhere else.
