.:hello:. just a bit of news from us as we are still in winter hibernation... 65daysofstatic our mates and sometimes collaborators are on tour at the moment. They touch down in London this wednesday to play at 93fteast. andy.digitonal will be behind the decks in support. they are simply devastating live - here's a description and details: 65daysofstatic live Wednesday 25th Feb 93 Ft East MAIN HALL. DOORS 8.00PM £5/£6 www.ticketweb.co.uk Like Aphex Twin on Mogadon, like Mogwai in an exceptionally good mood (in a field), in a post-rock, post hardcore field of their own. Having recently released the amazing 'Stumble. Stop, Repeat' e.p, which provides further examples of a band as innovative as anyone around at the moment. It's not just post-hardcore, it's the real sound of the future. Supported by Zan Lyons, Fake Ideal and Andy.Digitonal (DJ set). Two US dates Digitonal are returning to the states for two one-off dates: Thursday 24th March: Volume, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC. http://www.volume.tv Tuesday 30th March: 22o2, Oxygen Bar, Valencia and 19th, San Fransisco. http://www.2202bar.com Full details of these gigs are still being put together and will appear on the website as soon as we have them. European Dates Digitonal will also be doing their first european dates, travelling with LJ Kruzer and DJ Kone-R (uncharted audio) to play at the beautiful Breton city of Nantes on Saturday April 17th, at the formidable arts venue le Lieu Unique, known affectionately by locals as "le Lu", an old biscuit factory where once were made everyone's favourite Gallic dunkers, Petit Beurre...We also hope to squeeze in a Brussels date, although this is still being confirmed. Once again look to the website for more info. website Whilst we're on that subject, it has rather embarrasingly come to my attention that our website doesn't work on Macs. which is really rather crap since I'm supposed to be a bloody interface developer. Sorry about that. I started fixing it the other day, and then decided that i'd rather do a completely new one anyway, so please bear with me whilst I sort that out. Other premature announcements We're also playing in Sheffield again, alongside Feedle, Media Lounge and others on Good Friday, April 9th. again, so few details at the moment that it's hardly worth mentioning, but we thought you'd like to know first. Speaking of Media Lounge, I'm most gratified to see that they're representing at this year's Dedbeat Festival (www.dedbeat.net) which, for those of you who didn't catch us there last year, is probably the finest straight up quality hiphop and electronic music festie you're likely to find. Medlo will be programming dedTV - hope they've got an on-site psychiatrist cause that's really going to fuck some people up at 4 in the morning after a solid night of detroit. rocking the headphones Actually been picking up quite a bit of stuff lately so here goes: Mice Parade - Obrigado Saudade - my favourite release from them yet - really interesting stuff for people who demand a bit more out of their music.. Mr. Projectile - Sinking - the debut album proper from our sometime labelmate and all round nascent electronica superstar Matt Arnold. This is truly terrific, with all the crunchyness you'd expect from him, but tempered by, imho, a better approach to the structure of the tracks. really inspiring. Bundok EP - Spezial Material gets better and better with this awesome ep of electro tinged goodness. Speaking of SM, check out Intricate's live set available to download at www.defaultresponse.com . the track at 11:15 (a remix of a swiss rock band out later this year i'm told) is frankly awe inspiring. there will be a new record from us by the spring (how long have we been saying that for now...). Samy keeps insisting on joining dodgy world music groups ( http://www.astralwerks.com/terry_hall/default.html ) but i've locked him in a room with a manuscript book and a pair of headphones and he's not coming out until he's finished the string arrangements. watch this space and www.seedrecords.co.uk for information... sorry for the gaps, bad grammar and spelling mistakes, not to mention the sudden switches of tense and person...i'm going through a very bitter breakup at the moment and not sleeping much... .:digitonal - music to cut your wrists to since 1999:. http://www.digitonal.com ***this mailing list is put out by digitonal...it's not for commercial use...we keep all personal details private...we're good like that...mail us at mailing@digitonal.com if you don't want to know***
