hm, whatever happened to james bernard? I ask this every so often here and usually someone knows... still making music? I just saw someone has atmospherics 2x12" up for auction (zero bids, ends very soon, start bid is $4.99...). I *loved* this release, still play it on a regular basis. I'm not trying to sell this guys vinyl for him, but thought someone might be interested... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2592667892&category=43682 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Re: [idm] james bernard
the first time I saw links/mentions of soundtrack work by the below bernard I actually wondered (before I had read anything at all about the soundtracks or composer) if it was the electronic musician bernard doing soundtracks for movies... this was because bernard released music on lustmord's label (before I went bye-bye) and lustmord has had a longtime connection to soundtracks.

excellent, thanks much for the link. I suppose after all these links, one would be lend to believe he isn't making music anymore. I think the last thing I saw from him was the ice cream and razorblades (as influx) and then the cdr of early material that I know some people hooked up with from him. although I wasn't blown away by ice cream & razorblades, I hoped that he would eventually release more material like atmospherics or symphony for a biomechanical breakdown... these two releases and wagon christ's phatlab.nightmare top my fav ambient releases...
