Helge Tommervag from Kristiansund on the mid-west coast of Norway is one
of the veterans of the Norwegian electronic scene. He got his first
synth in 1980, and in the early 90's, he started his current project
Mind over MIDI.
Statement was recorded in parallell with his last album Project 3, and
can be characterised as the creepy big brother to this album. While
Project 3 was "softened" by a host of guest musicians and vocalists,
Statement is pure an instrumental, strict minimalistic and dark album.
But at the same time an album filled with depth and emotions.
Demands from the fans (including the +8/Plastikman staff) have finally
led to a release of this album. But only in a limited run of 1000
copies!
