endanger? as in kill them off? that would only be possible if all idm artists got their start with the mentality of "i'm making this music to get a record deal, so i can sell 10,000 copies of my album, and be famous".

everyone thought it was strange? in my opinion, people didn't think techno was strange ever. and if they did, it sure as hell wasn't because it lacked vocals. before techno came many other types of instrumental dance music, from rock to disco to northern soul.
