wow!
im still trying to pick my jaw off the floor. Manitoba
was that good. Imagine the Boredoms (ala Vision
Creation Newsun or Super AE) combined with aspects of
Mouse On Mars and you might have an aproximation of
their live set. Still electronic foundations, but then
very rocking, with (read this) TWO drum sets, two
guitars, keyboard/synth stuff, some sort of toy
keyboard horn thing, and childrens toy chimes even,
all played by three fellows in animal masks :) they
even rotated instruments between songs. even more,
there were wonderful childlike videos/visuals
perfectly synced to the live act (still wondering how
they did that...) a prime example of electronic
influenced music mergeing with a true live performance
on stage. great fun!
also quite a new step from their album material (or
have i missed a release somewhere?) Anyhow, be sure to
check them out if they come anywhere near you!
