that all depends on your definition of "out of print". to me, in the strict sense, this means it is. if the label has no more copies for sale, and is not planning to press more in the near future, it's out of print. however, with music distribution being what it is, there may be untold numbers lurking in the corners of mailorders around the world. those who can find such releases during this uncertain time window should count themselves lucky. d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

A number of releases thought to have been "OOP" end up back on the shelves, usually because distros found a batch or two gathering dust somewhere... the releases I've seen this with are Kid Spatula's Spatula Freak, and (funny enough) AE's Anti EP. I know both can be purchased at my local cd store here in Los Angeles for about $12 each. BTW, if you cant find the Anti EP in a store... wait for it on ebay. You should be able to get a copy for under $20... easily. If someone in this group was honestly asking for $85 a copy... wow, that's balls ;) MrGerbik ----- Original Message ----- From: "chthonic" <chthonic@chthonicstreams.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 3:53 PM Subject: Re: [idm] OOP (was anti-EP thread)

thanks, i actually found one. shipping from the UK, but the total cost is £5.03 with shipping so i think i did well even with today's conversion rates.
