Check it out - This Sunday will be the last edition of Detroit while we take a hiatus of unknown length. It has been a rich experience - a chance to contemplate and savor the sounds of a city and the soul of a place - which of course, is its culture and people. (Sniff sniff!) We'll be back, for sure, but for now, its time for a break!
SO- THIS SUNDAY - Please join DJs Baby Daddy, 12 Mile, Domingo Yu and Bartenders Peter Lakis and Scott Campbell as we mix up a whole lot of good vibes.
AND, for the first time the Woodward Posse will be in full force! "Silent" partner Domingo Yu has DJ'ed around the D and the world and represents equally well as a hip hop and techno selecta. He's shared the stage with acts ranging from Eminem to DJ T-1000, Xzibit to Derrick May.
Bringing the rock factor, DJ "12 Mile" aka Brian Stein will send the weak-hearted running and reward "those who know" with his mix of Detroit Rock City and Motown classics.
Wrapping things up with a shiny bow is DJ Baby Daddy - you know 'em, ya love 'em, and you know he's gonna play "Sandwiches" so what else really needs to be said??! ;)
Detroit is free, and starts at 9 this Sunday night at the Skylark, 3089 16st., San Francisco.
