I was just perusing the website of the Portland Music Festival (www.musicfestnw.com) and while I usually abhor background music on sites, I took notice of a track by Veloce, apparently called "System 100". It was really quite well done acid electro, but with vocals! -eric --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

If that's the same Veloce I'm thinking of, they're from Vancouver and used to be a swirly-shoegazer-ethereal group called Perfume Tree. They started to lean more towards eletronics on their last couple of albums, and then changed their name a couple of years back. I've only heard one album under the Veloce name (the first, I think), but it was quite good. They've got a website at http://www.veloce.ca/ Greg PS: I just checked the Music Fest NW page, and that is indeed the same Veloce. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Greg Clow ::: greg@stainedproductions.com ::::::::: concert & event promotions ::: http://www.stainedproductions.com :::::: electronic music radio & reviews ::: http://www.feedbackmonitor.com ::: electronic/experimental record label ::: http://www.pieheadrecords.com ::::::::: 158 Close Ave. 2nd Floor ::: Toronto, Ontario M6K 2V5 ::: Canada --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Perfume Tree was really really great. I'll have to seek out some of the Veloce tunes.
