Thanks a bunch for your suggestions. You confirm what I've been starting
to realize already about Morr Music and CCO. On a side note, I find
myself surprisingly attracted to this lullabye, BoweryElectric-but-happy
music that I never really paid attention to back in highschool (and yes I
was in highschool and on this list in 94!). But then again cerebral dance
music was new and novel then.
When you say more classic IDM, are you referring to the beauty that was
seemingly churned out album after album back in 1993-1996 or so? Or to
the later garbage by which IDM seemingly fell of the deep end? The
Autechre that went the way of pretentious abstract art with all the
shitsplattered glitching and accompanying sycophants?? I'd half to think
the former, since Morr, from what I read, aims for a uniform
melody-emphasized label sound....
