Have you tried contacting any of the bigger music stores in the U.S.? Other Music, Aquarius, Amboeba etc? I'm sure someone's imported it. oh wait groovetech has it: http://www.groovetech.com/PhoenixData/GT/srvlt/ GTController?action=MusicSearch&page=shopping_music.jsp&Keyword=&RowCoun t=10&XMLType=Music+Image+List+HTML&Title=&GenreID=&FormatID=&Artist=matt hew+herbert&SubGenreID=&AttributeID=&Label=&Country=&StockStatus=ALL&x=0 &y=0 or just search for Matthew Herbet, it pops up. you can get the entire ann-aimee from rush hour distribution: http://www.rushhour.nl/distribution/o_ann-aimee.html it's not in the UK, but it is in your neighborhood, so to speak, so hopefully your shipping costs wouldn't be too bad? you're correct that the first two releases are vinyl only. I REALLY like the Cim release. The Alex Cortext release is good too, but I definitely prefer the Cim release. hope that helps. James R Bamford <jim@jimtreats.com> wrote: Hi folks.. hi Jim In the UK you could try Hedonizm, or Smallfish. http://www.hedonizm.demon.co.uk/ mark@hedonizm.demon.co.uk http://www.smallfish.co.uk/ otherwise http://www.rushhour.nl There are four releases so far: ann001Alex Cortex - CTRL EP (vinyl) ann002 CiM - Noki Bay EP (vinyl) ann-lp1Alex Cortex - Inwards (vinyl) ann-cd1Alex Cortex - Inward CTRL (cd) (the last one is a CD combination of the Inwards LP, and the CTRL EP as 'bonus' tracks) the mp3 are all just 30 sec snaps, although several tracks indeed aren't that lenghty :-) After summer the following releases will come: CiM CD Lucky&Easy (aka Pub) 12" Lucky&Easy (aka Pub) CD & 2xLP ----- Original Message ----- From: "James R Bamford" <jim@jimtreats.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Saturday, June 21, 2003 4:48 PM Subject: [idm] http://ann-aimee.net : where to get their stuff from... are the mp3s the actual tracks?

Jim, Definitely try Smallfish - this is where I got my copy from. If you can't find it on their website (the search engine can be a bit quirky), try ringing them. They have some of the most helpful staff around. If not, try juno - www.juno.co.uk. They have stocked the Ann Aimee stuff in the past.

the first 2 releases i guess this is impossible :( Definitely go for the CD release, "Inwards CTRL". The album is fantastic - 24 tracks of wonderfully varied stuff. Plus the packaging is gorgeous! The CiM CD that's out soon is, as far as I know, (Marsel would know better than I would) a compilation of the deleted Warm Data 12" that was out on deFocus originally (before the label disappeared completely) and the absolutely classic 'Service Pack' 12" originally issue on Delsin. I don't know it if features any other tracks but on that basis alone the CiM CD is a classic already :-) )Jq. ----------------------------------------------- hi Jim In the UK you could try Hedonizm, or Smallfish. http://www.hedonizm.demon.co.uk/ mark@hedonizm.demon.co.uk http://www.smallfish.co.uk/ otherwise http://www.rushhour.nl There are four releases so far: ann001Alex Cortex - CTRL EP (vinyl) ann002 CiM - Noki Bay EP (vinyl) ann-lp1Alex Cortex - Inwards (vinyl) ann-cd1Alex Cortex - Inward CTRL (cd) (the last one is a CD combination of the Inwards LP, and the CTRL EP as 'bonus' tracks) the mp3 are all just 30 sec snaps, although several tracks indeed aren't that lenghty :-) After summer the following releases will come: CiM CD Lucky&Easy (aka Pub) 12" Lucky&Easy (aka Pub) CD & 2xLP --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
