that was not comute - in the main room playing from 9-9:45 was damiak(with a special guest). dan ------ Nope, I know who Sote is, I played a show with him a few months ago in Sacramento,CA - big guy, impressive beard, hard-fckn'core music. No, I'm talking about the guy who played before him (shorter, skinny guy, played some huge stuttering electro beats consumed with layers and layers of melodic washes, had a partner on-stage with him during the last half of the set).=20 I thought his set and the 8fm set were brilliant. Sote's industrial gabber set sent me outside (I'm not trying to hate, I've seen him perform a much better, radically different set just a few months ago), Machine Drum was impressive but reminded me of a less disciplined Prefuse 73, and FUNKST=D6RUNG was predictably great but ruined by these fruit= y middle-aged gothic ravers dancing next to me who thought they were in the Matrix or some shit. People, I know IDM is hard to dance to, but that does not give you license to prance around some Renaissance Fair/Tai Chi/Pee-pee dance. That shit is embarrassing! Sorry for the tangent, but please, if anyone knows who that opening act was (or can at least verify that the artist's name is Comute) please let me know.
