I thought lipswitch was brilliant, really enjoy that album. differnet strokes for different folks i guess. Date: Fri, 30 May 2003 21:35:50 -0700 (PDT) To: InDirtyMinds From: Chispas De Muerte Subject: Richard Devines' track "cerulean Valence" Message-ID: <20030531043550.75247.qmail@web40708.mail.yahoo.com> I'm listening to this now, thinking for years I wrote off this guy because I listened to "Lipswitch" and thought all his music was like that frenetic earfuck type of stuff. Then I heard "aleamapper" and heard a completley, and somewhat contradictory form of his art. One that appealled to me much more. Now this track off the "well suited for general purpose audio work" comp, I'm amazed. He should stay away from the (way overdone and abrasive) beats and rock the drones more! Does he have any new albums in the works, and is this the direction he's headed in artistically, (more Rothko, less Pollock?)
