I'm finally getting ready to digitize my vinyl....I'm wondering what inexpensive, user-friendly software you guys might recommend for ripping vinyl to MP3 (preferably a program designed for vinyl, including click/noise reduction). I'm running Windows 98 on a piece of shit computer...all I want to do is transfer my all of my vinyl to cd/ipod (when i get one!) for personal listening. So many of the programs I've looked at have a million extras for mixing and stuff...I don't need any of that. thanks in advance for your recommendations!

I wonder - is there any company out there working on liscensing MP3 CDs of dj or "vinyl only" releases with finalscratch or mp3 djs in mind? It would seem to make sense to do, you could maybe include some kinds of datafiles, and really high quality copies. At least artists could recoup some money from people who are going all digital, rather than none at all. Also it would be a convenience for people who don't have time or computer gear/skill/setup to rip their vinyl. - geoff/cutups ----- Original Message ----- From: <LRMLaw@aol.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Tuesday, May 06, 2003 5:25 PM Subject: [idm] Software Help!
