Hello f(r)iends,

YES, HE DOES. I've seen him twice, and I *will* see him again when he comes to Austin next Tuesday...

FINALLY, someone else who thinks that MC Paul Barman is irritating. He just tries TOO hard to cram five thousand internal rhymes into every line, and he *seriously* needs to ease up on the scatological humor. Yr. f(r)iend Sean P. np: Liz Phair "Liz Phair" (this album is awful, by the way) _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i totally agree - saw him last night here in sf @ the peacock lounge and was blown away.... audiance participation! death pacts! when i went outside and listened, he did sound a bit like barman sonicly, but content was totally different. it was more n.i.n.-ish and heartfelt (for me, that's a compliment :) it's also really fun to say "cex was really great last night" to folks that don't know what you are talking about ;) don't get me wrong, paul barman is the shizz - "making granny's panties moist!" n all that, but to compare him to cex is fully an apples 'n oranges kinda deal if you ask me. -star On Wed, 2003-04-02 at 14:55, Sean Padilla wrote:

oh, i agree that the content is totally different. when i made that original content, i was only referring to his voice. he's much more serious in content than mc paul barman. i was in no way comparing their music or anything...just their voices brandon invergo ===== barrel o'monkeys http://www.barrelomonkeys.com02.com __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Obviously a matter of opinion. Barman suffers from having SUCH a distinctive style and a somewhat annoying voice. But his lyrics are often phenominal. The fact that he's so over the top is his appeal. Cex is a great live show, but when he's making shit up he's at his best. I dunno, except in their nerdyness i wouldn't compare the two much. - cutups --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
