Where abouts in Australia are you?
Firstly there are many artists doing idm, glitch, electronic music in
Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Tasmania, Wagga Wagga and all
over the country actually. You just need to go digging a little.
For IDM i'd say take a look at these...
Tim Koch:

or

Sense:

Epoq:

Prett Boy Crossover

Clue to Kalo:
http://www.cluetokalo.com/
Couchblip Collective (aka Disjunction Reunion, Bloq and Robokoneko)
http://www.couchblip.com/
For Glitch/Microsound i'd say take a look at these...
Pimmon:
http://www.fallt.com/artists/pimmon.html
Cray:

For great Soundscape/Ambient work check out:
Lawrence English:

This is just a small start. I can point you to further artists, labels,
magazines, shops and other supporters of this kind of music in Australia if
you like. Just reply of list and i'll try my best to inform.
Cheers,
John
