Nice review. Couple things that struck me though… 1) Lot’s of mention of Boards of Canada but I don’t really hear it in the music. The Autechre and Aphex influence, you definitely hear, and as you say he does a nice job of combining elements of the two. I do hear Plaid influence as well the Schematic label in general. Remember what really got everyone’s attention was the Phoeniecia remix on the Midwest ep that came out the same year. 2) "Parallel Processes was likely not findable enough because it was in between styles, never staking a strong enough claim of its own" Probably not findable because it was on Worm Interface, lol. They had decent distribution Europe but barely any in the US. Jokes aside, I agree with your point, although I’d rephrase it as: even though this was some very competent IDM, I don’t think there was a distinctive voice or personality to really set it apart. Hopefully some more long lost Worm Interface releases will see the light of day again. Adrien Capozzi https://adrien75.bandcamp.com/

Worm Interface was a sweet little boutique label out of London. https://www.discogs.com/label/110-Worm-Interface?sort=year&sort_order= <https://www.discogs.com/label/110-Worm-Interface?sort=year&sort_order=> One of the “go-to” labels for IDM in the late 90s & early aughts. They came onto everybody’s radar for putting out some of the earliest Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher) and Freeform. Their alt.frequencies compilations were always must haves. Other highlights were albums by Gimmik, Solar X, Karsten Pflum. I think they were taken down by the great EFA meltdown circa 2004, which took out a lot of electronic labels that had P&D agreements with EFA. releases Adrien Capozzi https://adrien75.bandcamp.com/
