whoever posted about the broken roland, your best bet is probably to check
with robotspeak (www.robotspeak.com) in the lower haight. they don't do
hardware repairs themselves but they do sell used gear, and i'm guessing
they could point you in the right place.
full disclosure: it's my housemate's shop.
but that doesn't make it any less fucking cool.
