Yeah, I've recently paid attention to the fact that the vast majority of my record collection consists of LPs. It's funny that I have pretty much overlooked EPs (and singles), considering that I think most of the LPs I own are too long for effortless listening from the beginning to the end. EP might actually be a really suitable format of music for me... So, what do you think are the finest EP's of the last, say, ten years? What about the finest EPs of 2002/2003? Obviously I'm looking mainly for IDM, but for example indie/post-rock, house, ambient, nu-jazz, noise, drum'n'bass, electro, trip hop etc. hits occassionally pretty hard. Of course the most useful suggestions are those EPs that are still "widely available"... thanks, |visa k. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

That's funny. Nearly all of the records I own are EP's, simply because they're cheap and easy to listen to. Anyway, some lesser-known EP's that I really like are both Vendor Refill EP's (evil weevil and the other new one, "sysreq ep"). Much better than his LP in my opinion. The funckarma EPs on dub are enjoyable, and there's some older stuff too but the problem with EPs is that they tend to be less available for less time. derek ------- eggytoast.com ------- coming soon: eggtastic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
