Someone was asking what Spooky were up to. Well, they've got a new e.p. out here on July 10th (or thereabouts) called the "clunk e.p." I heard a couple of tracks from it last night. One was really cool and floaty and the other had some gaelic wifey (I think) moaning on top of a strong breakbeat. Both were dead good. Carl

I just saw DJ Spooky last night in Portland. I strongly recommend. Good sets. 2 returns to the decks after he left. Weird and dancy hip hop and dub. Good shit man. Another thing. my first dj spooky purchase was "songs of a dead dreamer". at the time i was new to the electronic scene and really didn't understand what he was doing. now i can't get enough of it. i have to listen to it from start to finish every time or i would feel like i'm cheating myself. i wish he would make more of this style.
