Can somebody who's got both Instrmntl & One/Three please give me a comparative review of those two? Which one's more worth buying? I like one/three better, myself. Its sound and aesthetic are slightly more raw, I guess, and I like that about it. It has that stilted, clipped boom-thwack like crazy. The best way to listen to dabrye is loud; moving vehicles are often a good choice. bvl

Instrumntl is a bit dull. Just my humble opinion. Lots of repetition until something creative breaks. I have not heard One/Three, but it sounds interesting. -rfm -----Original Message----- From: Bill Van Loo [mailto:bvl@chromedecay.org] Sent: Monday, January 06, 2003 4:29 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] dabrye I like one/three better, myself. I know that there was some talk of a list of this a while ago, anyone know where I can go to find such a list, particularly one pertaining to shops that carry idm releases. From their webiste, www.ambientsoho.com: "AMBIENT SOHO has closed it's doors as a high street shop for the time being. We have had some trouble at the new premises and with the landlords (big companies can be so insensitive to their customers) so rather than enter into a drama with lawyers and uncertainty and all that goes with a legal battle, I have decided to close and retreat. Thank you for coming into the store and making the most interesting 7 years. We are continuing on with the web site as soon as we settle down. keep listening! -Rocket Ron" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I think the best selection for electronic releases is definitely Smallfish records at 372 Old St // website at smallfish.co.uk where you can browse their catalogue and find a map to the store. Recently i have also found an excellent selection at Rhythm Records in Camden Town, at 281 Camden High Street. Heres a maybe slightly outdated document i found while searching for the address of Rhythm: http://www.twee.net/misc/londonshops.html -thor --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
