Rephlex is questionable as far as labels go these
days, I've been grooving my brains out to the new
D'arcangelo, Astrobotnia is so-so, I put thier track
off of the magic bus tour cd on for people to get a
laugh. That new Cylob is downright retarded unless I
was a eunich with a balding mullet wearing a smock. I
try to avoid the term "IDM" when I describe the music
I like to play for people, mostley because they get
all wierd and they think IDM means that Scematic shit
that sounds like a bunch of sequenced nuts and bolts
put into a coffee can in a washing machine. Apologies
to the peeps that enjoy that stuff, I even like some
of it.The fact is what the music we listen to is
genreless, genrePROOF, you cant really put a name to
it, kinda like the artist formerly known as Prince,
only much much much better. Plus people dont like to
think of themselves as stupid, and the term
Intelligent Dance Music kind of insinuates that.
