{insert adjective} {insert city or location} {insert dark/hard/ghetto/ho-down/shakeyerbutt/gay/epic/etc...} {insert another holier-than-thou adjective} trance. That is my formal formula for determining how to be extremely snooty and classify music genres ;) (sorry for the smartass answer, just wanted to throw that out there) -daniel -----Original Message----- From: Mediadrome@aol.com [mailto:Mediadrome@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, November 21, 2002 11:00 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Oakenfold - Global Underground 007 Is there a name for the kind of the trance on the second CD of 007? Looking for something to do this afternoon? If you are in New York- stop in and listen to the music at the Issey Miyake in Tribeca- 119 Hudson St. This an amazing space- that Frank Ghery collaborated on. There's a new music running: 33.3, Plays Music; Corker/Conboy, In Light of That Learnt Later; Dntel Remixed, [This Is] The Dream of Evan and Chan; Machine Drum, Urban Biology; and the New Electric Policy 2 comp on Red Antenna, just to name a few... The complete playlist is online: www.activaire.com This store is amazing- it's a perfect "housing" for IDM; rippling, rolling metal sheets, really wild stuff, and then very clean and neat sandblasted glass- grids, and diagonal lines-- glass floors, and the clothes are simultaneously from the past and the future-- very slick materials, vs. rough crunchy knits. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
