OUR NEWEST RELEASE :::
The final two albums in the Piehead Records 2002 limited edition series
were released today and are now available for purchase (ordering details
below):
PIE010 : Andrew Duke : _Highest Common Denominator_
Andrew Duke is an artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia who has had a busy year
with releases on Bip-Hop, Dial, Tsunami Addiction, and Bake/Staalplaat. His
newest album is an exclusive collection of six remixes (tracks by Aaliyah,
The Blameshifter, Chicks On Speed, Club Telex Noise Ensemble, Mister Nobu
and Pink Floyd) and six collaborative tracks (with Building Castles Out Of
Matchsticks, Kim Cascone, Dalglish [aka O.S.T., Rook Vallade/Rook Vallard],
I8U, Monolake and Polmo Polpo) created throughout the summer and fall of 2002.

PIE011 : V/Vm : untitled
Known primarily for their noise-ridden deconstructions of saccharine pop
music and other audio atrocities, Manchester's V/Vm (aka James Kirby - for
this release, at least) may surprise people with this new untitled album.
Rather than blasts of static or pitch-shifted Lionel Ritchie vocals, the
disc instead features mainly ambient material that is almost serene, yet
still oddly disconcerting. The closest comparison points within the vast
V/Vm backcatalogue would be "The Stranger" (released in 1998 on the Phthalo
label) and The Caretaker's two albums of ghostly ballroom classics. But
even so, they still manage to get in a poke at Sir Elton John.

UPCOMING RELEASES :::
We are currently finalizing plans for our second limited edition series to
be released on a monthly basis throughout 2003. The format this time will
be EP length releases on CD3"s with a more handmade feel to the packaging.
We should have the list of artists completely confirmed within the next
couple of weeks, at which point we will send out an announcement and open
the series to pre-orders.
We're also in the very early stages of planning for a couple of full-scale
CD releases which should see the light of day during 2003. No firm details
to announce yet, but as things come together, we'll let you know.

LIVE EVENTS :::
We're happy to announce that we'll be holding a holiday celebration under
the name of our "parent company", Stained Productions. It will be happening
on Sunday, December 8th, 2002 at Oasis (294 College Street in Toronto), and
it will feature live sets by I Am Robot And Proud, hellothisisalex and Self
Service plus food, prizes and more.
