Hairway to Steven is simply one of the greatest albums ever made. _________________________ omz http://www.hotweird.com/loaf --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I am SHOCKED, SHOCKED by the similarity of these responses. No wonder I disagree with you people all the time. Here's my answer to my own question: The B-52s Deee-Lite The Shamen Young MC Happy Mondays INXS The Police Yeah. I suck. But then again I stopped listening to music other than techno at about 14. Now I most techno/IDM bores me. Like I said, no wonder I disagree with you people all the time. I never 'got' that clangity chunk industrial angry/sad. Hardcore etc. I can agree with a little more since my college radio days, but it's not like I'm going to go buy the Dischord box set. disco forever Tom --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Dude, it's all about "groove is in the heart" followed by "roam" and, well... The B-52's have a huge wall of stuff at the rock 'n roll hall of fame, too. Of course, it's opposite the rolling stones section, so a lot of people miss it. Bastards! The problem with INXS, I found out after buying many many cds, is that they often made singles for the best songs, and the ones left on the albums were pretty crass. I grew up on this stuff! It's a lot easier to do, of course, when you're young and just have a radio. I'm very, very lucky to have avoided the awful early 80's new-wave sound.
