The Great Quentini (2 sets): our beloved performance artist as seen in the
Phila. Fringe Fest and your nightmares. muhahahaha.
The Series of Experimental Music (ambient/experimental/noise/space) Gate to
Moonbase Alpha is a monthly concert series presenting artists from the
Ambient, Electronic, Techno, Experimental, Avant-Garde and Performance Art
communities of Philadelphia and beyond.
Based in West Philadelphia on the Penn Campus and associated with the
University of Pennsylvania through The Foundation and The Ambient
Consortium, Events take place the third Friday of every month at The
Rotunda, 4012 Walnut Street in Philadelphia and are free.
the Rotunda is "a big building on the campus of one of those West Philly
universities. The front part of the building has a rotunda. The back part,
where this event is held, is a big room with a flat ceiling and a large
balcony on either side." When you get there, the building is set back from
the sidewalk, which is being redone...you walk to the right side of the
building till you come to a wooden ramp, go up and then into the door...
You may want to bring earplugs, as some ambience is noisier than others
