This auction is for an out of print LEXIS ? CRIMINAL ELEMENTS (KLUTE REMIX)
and HYPNOTISE (AUTECHRE REMIX) original 12? from Certificate 18 Records
dated 1997. The record is in near-mint to mint condition. I do not believe
you will find another copy in as excellent of shape as this has been in
storage for all these years. Autechre and Klute on the mix. Autechre with
some abstract breakbeatty craziness and some kind of grating that sounds
like a guitar pick getting dragged down a string. Klute's 'Criminal' is hard
dark step drum & bass which is mostly aggressive, but with eerie undertones.
This is highly collectable, and judging by the prices it commands on E-Bay,
an extremely valuable Drum & Bass / IDM title. This record is essential for
the Autechre remix, a mad cross-beam of processed sounds and experimental
pile ups and some of the most purely exhilarating sound possible.
