I'm visiting New York City for my first time. Dates are Thursday 10/10 to Monday 10/14. Looking for insider info on where to go. I'd like to find some bars to check out. Hipster type hangouts, small, and off the beaten track type places. Indie rock crowd, indie electronic crowd, artsy, whatever. Any suggestions? I can probably find the record stores myself. Also, any events (shows, galleries, whatever), that look cool.
