Hi, I'd suggest that the music too check out is Tim Koch's, which is very computer game inspired (he even has a side project called 8-bit Orchestra!). When "Please Don't Tell Me That's Your Volvo" was released it was described by Igloomag's Pietro Da Sacco as "17 tracks of video-game styled electronica tied to bright melodies, gritty ambience, and snappy bleeps all wrapped up in a tight 60 minutes. Fans of Lackluster, Plod, Arovane and even Plaid will enjoy this release".

He's even done the entire soundtrack for 2 computer games. I have a few extra copies of "UltraViolent Worlds" (any one interested reply privately and we'll sort something). UVW is a cool vertical scrolling shoot-em up (for Amiga or PC) that he did the in-game soundtrack for (some of the tracks reappeared on Volvo) as well as having the original versions of some tracks (as audio tracks) that appeared on his deFocus and other releases too. On a related side note that maybe of interest to some here... the excellent "Please Don't Tell Me That's Your Remix" which features fifteen artists' re-workings of tracks that appeared originally on Tim Koch's "Please Don't Tell Me That's Your Volvo" album, will be available shortly. With each remixer wonderfully interpreting and skillfully re-wiring the source material, the new album flows more like an individual release rather than a series of remixes. Supposedly incompatible styles are thrown together, with eight bit video game funk sitting right beside melodic electro ambience, abstract manipulated cello breakbeat workouts, quirky poptronica and gritty atmospherics. Artists include: Mr Projectile (Toytronic, Music Aus Strom), Bauri (Neo Ouija, Pitchcadet), Yunx (Pitchcadet, Meson Octet), Proem (M3rck, n5MD), Novel23 (Awkward, Shaped Harmonics), Jet Jaguar (Involve), Quark Kent, Bloq (Couchblip), Disjunction Reunion (Couchblip), Goto80 (BleepStreet), Vim! (Surgery), Ten & Tracer (U-Cover, Civik), Adrien75 (Carpet Bomb), Raven (Smart Pussy) and Coffee Table (M3rck). Out next month!!
