I really like about half of the new-ish Avalanches cd. the first three songs are ace, then its just good, and by the time the parot starts talking (you will see if you get it) it gets a bit annoying. but the stong tracks make it worthwhile to check out. They remind me of a more layered less minimal more blissfuly sample laden Daft Punk, if that works for you. They were recently in concert locally, playing with the likes of Moby (ugh!) and David Bowie (yay!)- i wonder how they pulled it all off live. Anyone see the show...? -Thad ===== Thad Biggerstaff ~ReSource~ daht73@yahoo.com Music/mixtapes for sale/trade at http://www.biggerstaff.homestead.com/ "Not to forget, I 'museumize' myself; so that then I pay myself a visit and find me again in all the relics, to hand down memories from one to the other, like a genealogical tree, as if it were morning!" - Massimo Toniutti "One man's poison is another's nectar." - a man __________________________________________________ Yahoo! - We Remember 9-11: A tribute to the more than 3,000 lives lost http://dir.remember.yahoo.com/tribute --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I think "Since I left You" is one of the greatest releases of last year. The only track on the cd I can't stand is the "gonna catch a flight tonight". God I hate the annoying repetive sound byte, argh. Otherwise that cd rocks you like a cop. Meatwad, you're up next With your knock knock On Thu, 12 Sep 2002, Reading, John wrote:
