Well, f*ck me :-) There I am listening to Roots Manuva's Run Come Save Me, when the opening twinkles of Stone the Crows just shout MacArthur's Part at me. Anybody here old enough to remember Jimmy Webb/Richard Harris's excellent 'nobody knows what it's about' track? Well, Mr Manuva sampled it... I'm not old enough but I remember it. here's a neat little web site: http://dav4is.8m.com/Music/macarthur.html Giorgio Moroder? and Donna Summer! did a remake at some point, obviously before disco was murdered.. I was obviously in no fit state to post coherent mails... The Roots Manuva track that boasts the MacArthur's Park sample is "Dreamy Days". Over and out.
