Live Shows: We have one coming up in New York on Sept 1st, to celebrate the release of all of those Machine Drum cds and Kristuit Salu vinyls: Sunday, September 1st - Triad Theater 158 west 72nd, corner of Broadway, [around the corner from the Beacon Theatre] 9pm-2am 18+ $10, $8 with printout or flyer Upstairs (All Live): Brothomstates, Kristuit Salu, Heat Sensor, Chief Kamachi, Machine Drum Downstairs: Team Shadetek, Dj Rupture, Danny L, Dj Mutamassik We will also be doing a tour in Japan in the beginning of November: Machine Drum Live & Kristuit Salu Live + DJ Merck November 1st, Tokyo, November 2nd, Nagoya, November 3rd, Osaka Other News: www.m3rck.net mailorder stock: we have remade the md - appelsap shirts, we have also made some fashion concious merck truckers hats, we will have some machine drum shirts appearing within the next couple months as well. future releases: we recently put up a bunch of soundclips from our upcoming new releases in the upcoming section, we plan to drop at least four to five 12"s before christmas, plus some other suprises. recent merck sitings: the lackluster LL 12" got reviewed in a recent issue of URB, as well as the featured review of My Mines I in XLR8R a couple months back. Hey Guys, Just a small update with some info on two cds we released earlier this month...plus some info on plans for the next 6 months or so: ******** Artist: Secede Title: Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic Item Number: MERCK 017 This is young Lennard Van Der Last aka Secede's first album for Merck, his only previous release consisting of an emotive remix of Machinedrum for Half the Battle. For this release he has delved into lush ambience intermingling with piano and a variety of breaks plus peripheral undulating bass. If you have ever wanted to walk through the fog laden 8-bit Nintendo Castlevania maps, duck the occasional bat, slay the bitmapped Dracula with a candy cane, hop into your rad racer and speed off, this release will satisfy. Slow building pads and samples escalate until the CD climaxes in a beaty romp through melodies and nostalgia. Clocking in at 13 tracks and 74 minutes long, another champion sound release from the Merck camp. LTD 1000 Artist: Various Artists Title: Miasmah Item Number: MERCK 018 Miasmah is a internet collective of artists dedicated to the output of experimental electronic music in laidback forms. Merck, being big fans of the Miasmah content for several years, went through and chose their favorite tracks from the catalog to release as a compilation. Containing musical styles ranging from jazzy hiphop, Farbenesque minimal techno on through to freestyle jazz. A new direction for the Merck label, but one we are sure the fans will appreciate with its lush melodies and innovative percussion. With artwork by Xhale, the founder of Miasmah and also the designer of the Merck website. A total of 16 tracks and 78 minutes long, another healthy Merck cd for the ladies. LTD 1000 ******** Our next release is Tiki Obmar - High School Confidential, which will be hitting stores around September 16th Artist: Tiki Obmar Title: High School Confidential Item Number: MERCK 019 High School Confidential is the debut cd from the Minneapolis based band Tiki Obmar. With 3 members, friends for years and playing together for almost as long, baring their souls with the intricate framework of dense indie-idm compositions. Guitar originated sounds bounce and grind in with excellent drum sensibilities and floaty touching pads. Basically, they are multi-instrumentalists running live drums, bass, guitar, and keys through samplers and effects. Another quality Merck cd with aesthetic and tunes that move you with deft arrangements and mood-driven melodies. LTD 2000 ************ Coming up within the next couple months we have two compilations (double down, dosage) containing some new merck talent as well as familiar names. We have soundclips of all of those tracks in the upcoming section on the website. Plus we have new albums from Proswell and Syndrone, plus a lush album from well known idm star Mr. Projectile. Still in the works are the Ilkae Remix Project and the Deceptikon full length cd. As well as plans for several albums from new merck talent.
