Rachels are bad for me, fallen in love with them twice ;) You're not leering hard enough, if you were you would see I'm wearing boots :P Anyway, so I don't stray completely off-topic, I don;t think anyone replied to my Aoki Takamas post a couple of weeks ago so I'll ask again if anyone has heard his stuff and if so, what do they think about it? Personally, the 'Silicom' album is one of the best things I've ever heard... -- Dan Brusca www.vfrecordings.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

It seems as though people are choosing this here forum for really "intelligent" postings so I figure I'd add to the fray and ask if you could help Kiya and I figure out where to go to lunch. It's 11:54 PST and we are on the west coast of the United States. Somewhere in Northern California would be awesome! Thanks much for the help. Keep it real.... OK, how about then, which of these lunch places plays the best music? At "Annapoorna" they play groovy old bombay / tamil film music. At Cancun they often play norteneo oopah rock waaaay too loud. Mmm. The only place I can think of in the city of SF that plays really groovy tunes is Fritz in Hayes Valley. They play a wide-reaching range of electronic music, including IDM from time to time. ghede@well.com http://www.quietamerican.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

If you think this is the worst post you haven't been around long enough... (anyhow, there's the flame you were hoping for Kiya) What about the music ? Now playing - Post Office: Telegraph http://www.logisticrecords.com/ A compilation featuring Ark, Akufen, Dimbiman, Ben Neville, Daniel bell, Ricardo Villalobos, Robert Hood Mostly 4/4, the compliation is minimal, crunchy and nice. I'm up to track 10 and I have yet to hear something I dislike. ========== Also arrived is the Dublab - Summer compilation A fund-raiser tribute of sorts with tracks donated to help keep Dublab.com alive IDM at times, this album is mostly above the level of experimental and closer to the mainstream. Still, with tracks from such artists as Prefuse 73, Manitoba, Burnt Friedman and the Nu Dub Players, the album is woth looking in to. ========== Also arrived is the new SMAK compilation which is very kind for the folks at Skam to provide the music for those people that couldn't get ahold of the limited SMAK series on vinyl - now if they'd only do that with the MASK series people could stop bootlegging CDR's of it on Ebay ! ========== Best album of the past couple months? Gotta be Einoma - Undir Feilnotum I will not comment more on this album. Trust your instinct and buy on sight ! That's correct, joined the list 2002-08-05, 4th post ever. But, I heard so much about it. (You wish... who ever you are.)

Always prepared to hear something new.

Yep! Far to complicated to get hold of, the Geiom/Ola Bergman split is very nice though.

Can't say I heard it, but... see answer above. L'usine Icl - Iron City, Esem - Enveloped, Naono - Slope Drifting, Lazyfish / Mewark - Untitled they are all really nice sounding right now.

Thanks for the reply, nevertheless I still believe that the citation marks (")(") before and after 'Worst' had some kind of meaning, at least to me they did... it's funny that you (he, she, it, they, that, them) are the one responding. Off topic? Hum. Here's a stupid idea. Why don't all the people who posted in the Bay Area get together sometime next month and have an IDM lunch at one of the recommended places? Hell we could even trade CDs of our own music (if we make it). If we were really cute we'd picnic and bring some boomboxes. I know if flys in the face of everything the internet stands for to actually meet the people you argue with online in person but... Personally I say next month since until I'm back from Burning Man all thoughts and time tend that way. aaron ghede@well.com http://www.quietamerican.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
