Okay...out on my favorite limb... If you want to experience some truly innovative glitch with vocals....vocals very tweaked -- Philip Jeck's "Stoke" cd. Baddass manupulated works of art. :-) --- michael feldman <datahiccup@yahoo.com> wrote:

Hi - Haven't heard the pulseprogramming track (name? record?), but try these: Ensemble (on Rephlex) the Microstoria/Stereolab collaboration 12" called "Endless Summer NAMM". Radiohead? (everything in its right place, etc) bvl

firstly, can't recommend this album highly enough... at the risk of invalidating my opinion to several people on this list, i think i'd place dntel's "life is full of possibilities" way high up on my list of favorite albums ever with mbv, bjork and other luminaries of memorable musical moments bygone. laub- filesharing (kinda shifty angular precise) schneider tm- zoomer (of all the stuff i'd recommend i think this album probably most resembles the pulse programming track you liked, though i don't really care for his earlier stuff-- except his cover of the smiths song 'there is a light that never goes out which he retitles 'the light 3000' and it's fucking excellent) ensemble- sketch proposals (like shards of glass) quarks- their remix record, i forget the title (warm and poppy for the most part) barbara morgenstern- fjorden (produced mostly by pole though you'd never guess) agf/dlay- return of us (edit)(track off click-hop comp) a lot of atom stuff: los samplers- descargas ; pop artificielle, et al (lots of skips burps and hiccups) piano magic - hmm... 12" single that preceded their newer 'writers without homes' album (almost too close to twee if you ask me, but only /almost) hood- cold house (kinda like radiohead crossed with notwist but sparer and more melancholy) super_collider- raw digits (sly stone in a funky laptop simulation of a blender) bjork- alarm call (matmos remix) safety scissors- parts water (glitch-tech-pop) workshop- don't know any albums, i just have mp3's and some of it is electronic and some of it isn't (if faust were around now... maybe?) sea and cake- two gentlemen (remix record) (shimmering and slippery) the eternals- black museum (fucked up noisy soul and slippery greasy with lots of... err... black) chicks on speed & kreidler ep (the COS album is good too, but not for all tastes) capitol k- newer version of 'island row' album... and also the leafcutter john remix of 'pillow' voices in my lunchbox (comp on plug research) wunder- self titled (pretty and lush) +/- - self titled (file under plus/minus)(kind of emo-ish at times with nice electronic flourishes like something not as bad as the latest emo-craze crossed with the notwist but more american sounding) more on the fringe-ish side of things: gastr del sol- camofleur agf- head slash bauch (and also her remix of raz o'hara track 'reality' of his 'reality' 12", but beware, it's only a minute and fifty seconds long but it's BEAUTIFUL ))) gregory, hope this list is useful to someone ===== //the fawn// performing live at the lab in costa mesa 09/04/02//////?/ 0123456789!@#$%^&*()_+ glitchitty-poppy-catch-all-phrase- turning-indie-tech *from the people who put the sty in style __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? http://www.himawaring.com call me coy, but himawari pretty much either encapsulates or epitomizes any of those adjectives. bjork meets aphex with a twist of kraftwerk. *amazing* live performances too, lena is completely animated... http://www.himawaring.com/abouthimamove.html check the aboutHIMA ver.1.01 quicktime on their site, takeshi is an amazing motion designer as well. jiv --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Triangle on file-13 records are pretty cool. Guy and Girl vocals with pretty good idm accompaniment. Plus they graduated from my college, so they must be cool.
