Cabaret Voltaire, part madman mumbling on a street corner, this might
be the best, and certainly the most challenging, document to have
emerged from HipHop's savant garde" The Wire
"Doseone is a rapper who occasionaly resembles Captain Beefheart on
helium, while Boom Bip is a producer who is as keen on sound collages
as he is on thumping beats... original and engrossing" The Times

"contemporary, challenging and accomplished" Flux

fantastic release" Urb
"avant hip hop similar to Anti-Pop, Latryx or Kool Keith, but

5. Forthcoming releases
Susumu Yokota's new album, The Boy & The Tree, will be released in
September. Possibly his best and most personal work to date, the
album includes material previewed at his UK dates earlier this year.
We are planning another low price album label sampler (like 1999's
Osmosis compilation) for release in September, featuring tracks from
all our recent and forthcoming albums.
Manitoba is currently working on his follow up to Start Breaking My
Heart, and from what we've heard, he's not going to disappoint his
many fans. We are planning to release a single in October, with the
album to follow early next year. In the meantime, you should check
out his astonishing reworking of Seelenluft's 'Manila' on Klein
Records. We're in the process of confirming dates for him in
Australia and New Zealand in September.
We are also hoping to new Murcof material out by the end of the year.
Fernando Corona's appearances at the Sonar, Mutek and Aquaplaning
festivals over the summer have caused a bit of a stir, and there are
plans for a brand new EP in the not too distant future.
Finally, it looks like we will be releasing the latest album by
Vienna's Sofa Surfers later this summer, in the UK only. Already
released by Klein/Virgin in Europe, the album has not been picked up
in the UK, and thoroughly deserves to be heard. The album features
guest vocals from Mark Stewart, Sensational, Jeb Loy Nichols, Junior
Delgado and Dalek, among others.
