underground electronic music. The Japanese market and appreciation for high

DJs, promoters and magazines are numerous. RL66 has a strong, working
relationship with these key people in the scene, especially with record shop
buyers, charting djs and writers. Do you know that japanese people love
buying music and keeping up with the latest in underground sounds? Do you
know that so many units of records and cds are moved here in Tokyo alone
that many labels send all their records here up to 1 month in advance. How
can you tap into the underground Japanese music scene when there is an ocean
of labels coming through here every day and most key buyers, writers and djs
speak only Japanese. Now you have found us, the solution to your promotional
needs.

Our contact list of shops alone include over 20 shops in the Tokyo area.
Including key corporate shops that are hard to get access into such as Tower
and HMV. Our contact list for magazines and their writers include over 10 of
the top Japanese underground music and culture magazines such as Fader,
Remix and Studio Voice. And our list of distribution companies include not
only the main companies that distribute throughout all japan but the
companies that are looking for new projects to license.
The combination of all our resources are what will give your label and new
projects the exposure they need to stand out and grow in fan base. Reaching
the type of underground fans that you want, making what they want more
visible.
To get started it's very simple.
You need to provide us with the following:
・45 CD-Rs copies of your release (note: CD-R's should have clearly printed
on the surface; artist, title, label and any contact information you want
the recipient to be made aware of)
・45 copies of your one-sheets (to accompany your CD-R)
・our fee of $150 per release (*see "terms of payment" and also "Special
Rates for Repeat Customers")

Still not convinced?
If you were to send copies of your releases to all the people we reach on
your own the shipping alone would justify you using our company.
We reach over 40 key contacts. Shipping from your country alone for each
release individually would come to a total of over $200 alone (assuming a
shipping cost of $5 x 40 units shipped). Then add the fact that we deliver
each CD-R personally to someone that we have a solid working relationship
with. Your label/project being presented by someone that not only knows
Japanse but knows underground music aswell.
And as an added feature, we:
・We know that you not living in Japan, it would be hard to know what is
going on and what type of response your release recieved. Therefore, we keep
up with each magazine and writer that we give your release to. If your
release is charted or reviewed we will scan a copy of the it and send it via
e-mail as a jpeg for your records.
・We will distribute up to 300 pieces of promotional material to key record
shops for them to put in bags of thier customers. When we say 300 peices we
mean for example: 150 postcards and 150 stickers totaling in 300 piece. How
you break it up is up to you. Obviously due to weight, for any promotional
material exceeding 300 peices we have to start charging (for pricing on
extra pieces please see bottom).
These added features are offered for those customers of ours that join us
now before July 1st and they will always be free for the duration of our
business releationship. Customers that come in after will be charged
accordingly for these features.

The fine print:
Terms of payment:
Payments must be recieved before or at the same time the promotional
material arrive. We don't start work until funds are recieved and cleared.
Shipping:
Shipper pays for cost of shipping promotional material and cost of
tranfering funds to us. This includes costs for bank transfers and
purchasing money orders. These are not included in our fee.
Special Rates for Repeat Customers:
For customers that join with us by March 1st, we offer to incentives. These
introductory prices that you are being charged are fixed, they will never be
rasied at anytime for the duration of our business relationship. And
secondly for our loyal customers, there is a $50 discount on all addition
promotional releases after the first. For example, you pay $150 for the
first release, but pay only $100 on every additional release thereafter. So
on 3 releases we simultaneuosly promote you would be charged $350 rather
than $450.
Methods of Payment: We except payments by way of IMO (International Money
Order), bank wire transfer and Paypal.
Extra Charges for Extra Promotional material:
$50: 300-500 peices
$100: 500-1000 peices
$175: 1000 - 2000 peices
$75: every additional 1000 thereafter
