bill mattinson "backmask"
Slapart ran across this Alabama native at Mike Berk¹s now defunct ThinkTank
party. Like Berk¹s "idiom neutral reformed" (slapmp3_oo4), this release
gets its hands dirty equally with both pop and experiment. While
Mattinson¹s programming leans a bit more towards Top 40 tendencies,
"backmask" is a solid album-length (23¹14") mp3 release from an
up-and-coming Brooklyn producer. Fans of cut-up and orchestral electronics
(Aphex Twin, Mum) won¹t be disappointed.
