That's awesome. I saw Sigur Ros in LA last time they were out here. Went to both of the dates, The Album Leaf opened up one of the nights. I love all the indy bands that are coming out of San Diego these days. And that's badass that TAL and the guy from Sigur Ros are making music together. Any info on a release date or anything? I know this list is set up for experimental-ish type electronic, but can we talk about experimental-ish rock? Heh. Heavy Vegetable is one of the best rock bands I've ever heard. Crazy structure, beautiful male/female vocal harmonies, Rob Crow is a genius. Oh yeah, and the Tristeza drummer's name is Jimmy Lavalle. I believe. I'm waiting for Tristeza to tour again, never seen them live yet. Agh! Yep, I almost forgot about his split w/ LSR. To this day, he often sports an OG 10-year old Lesser shirt when he performs. The other project you're talking about is his semi-thrash band "Fantassy Mission Force" which also included Pea Hix (his conspirator in Optiganally Yours). I believe that Pea has some stuff coming out on Tigerbeat, under the alias Fossil. Saw the very last thingy show ever. It was horrible. I guess they had some people playing bass and drums that didn't really know to many of the songs. Oh well. New Thingy album is supposed to coming out sometime in the near future. 3 Mile Pilot owns.
