Hello. I decided to have a listen to the latest (and surprisingly good) Black Dog album, "Unsavoury Products", through headphones earlier today. What did I discover? The entire album is recorded in mono! There doesn't appear to be any stereo imaging on this album whatsoever! Either this was deliberate on Ken Downie's part, or there was some sort of error during mastering/duplication. That's consistent with 'Music For Adverts' No idea why he doesn't do more with stereo imaging. Though I'd have to say there are some good reasons not to go crazy with the panning, especially if you're going for a good vinyl pressing. On Mon, 6 May 2002, Mark Stevens wrote:
