Hi all, I have been searching for a basic (hopefully free) program/plug-in that can change the tempo of CD tracks without changing the pitch. Someone please help me if you are aware of such an app. My brother d/l'ed Chronotron II for Winamp & its changes tempo w/o pitch of files like mp3 & wav; but apparently won't work for CDs...He claims the original Chronotron DID do this...Please point me in the right direction! I'd rather say it doesn't work because the way WinAmp normally plays CDs is right from the drive out to the soundcard using that cable that connects both - and of course you can't apply any effect to that signal. Something like http://www.winamp.com/plugins/detail.jhtml?componentId=546 should do the trick, though - it extracts the audio data from the CD and plays it like a WAV file. Hope this helps. :) -- Kurt Bernhard Pruenner --- Haendelstrasse 17 --- 4020 Linz --- Austria .......It might be written "Mindfuck", but it's spelt "L-A-I-N"....... np: Underworld - Dark & Long (DubNoBassWithMyHeadMan) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
