damn... here i thought i was original having thought of a similar idea
(though i never
implemented it). i HAVE been trying to come up with a more interesting
performance
though... i'll be playing with daedelus and a couple other people to be
confirmed
at the detroit bar in costa mesa on may 11th... i will be rapping over a
track,
playing a joy division cover over which i'll sing... hopefully if we can get
it together
in time, my girlfriend will be singing over one of the songs, and a live
drummer for a
sort of improv jam thing at the end... the downside is that in order to sing
i have to
just let the music play through... so you lose a bit either way... which is
the bit the
audience would rather lose then?

At one point I thought about getting together a full (rock) band, but
minus drum sticks, guitar strings, bass strings, and mic (though with
stand to swing). We'd start a tape of loud pink/white noise, go through
the motions of playing an entire set (encore and banter included)
silently, then turn off the white noise.
I was hoping to tour.
