I just ripped my still shiny copy of geogaddi to .wav files using CDeX, so I can convert them to MP3's and store them in a safe place [actually, I only listen to MP3's, CD's are too bothersome, changing discs all the time :-)]. When I looked at the directory with the .wav's, I noticed the total size of all files combined is 666MB. Now call me childish, but this *is* the number of the devil and "total size of all ripped .wav's" is pretty much a detail... I suppose, except that 1 minute of audio is approximately equivalent to 1mb of data, and the total running time of the CD is 66:06 Since boards of canada aren't really computer people, i think that's just more of a 'happy accident' related to the cd length. Maybe it's not time to get rid of those discs just yet? derek ------- eggytoast.com ------- with lather thingy --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yup, it's a coincidence - I just thought it was... well... funny. :-S I did a quick search on Google (geogaddi 666) and found someone's blog mentioning this CD length as diabolical too: 66'6". http://mumslut.blogspot.com/2002_03_10_mumslut_archive.html#10725257
